TNAHU WELCOMES YOU!
Message from the President
Healthcare reform discussions continue to dominate both the local
and national scene. As your President, I want to encourage you, the
professionals; to remain a positive influence in our industry and to
your clients. As we work to increase our Membership state wide for
Tennessee and our voice amongst our elected officials, we are
challenged with an uncertain and rapidly changing political
landscape. We must get the word out and raise awareness to our
fellow professional and business partners with a strong message that
we will and can make a difference. We will continue to work with
our partners (NAHU, our lobbyist, HUPAC and Legislative
Committees) to represent our industry. We need to continue
to work with other professional and business partners to strengthen
our position as ‘key players’ and to educate the
population we serve.
Over the next
year, my number one goal is to ‘increase membership’ within
our Tennessee Association. I will be working with all local chapter
Presidents by holding monthly conference calls and visiting each
chapter across the state. I can assure you that members of “your”
state board are here to help you in any way they can to provide you
with the education and resources you need to help your chapter grow.
We need more
agents, carriers and consultants involved in our association. If
you are an Insurance Professional, this is the place for you!
Make your voices heard and commit to being more involved in your
local chapter, TNAHU and NAHU. If you can’t serve on your local
board at this time, consider serving on a particular committee
within your chapter.
For current
members, thank you for your support now and throughout
the years of your membership. I encourage you to continue to
respond to your
Operation Shouts, contributions to
HUPAC, and to work toward the
Triple Crown Award.
I want to
thank our Past President, Chris Simmons, as well as the board
for doing a phenomenal job last year. Thank you for your commitment
throughout the year!!!
Thank you for
allowing me to serve as your TNAHU President for 2009-2010. I look
forward to working with all of you this year!!!
